I have been in the business of selling pc and video games commercially for the past 15 years but in 2005 our business profile and volumes changed dramatically and we decided to set up our own purpose built warehousing facility. As soon as this decision was taken we knew that we needed to find a system to support us that was a powerful business tool, able to cope with large volumes from the outset and capable of expanding significantly further to match our intended growth. Our challenge was that Direct4Games, now the largest stockists of video games in the world, needed a complete stock, sales, and accounting system all contained within one system. Having used Turbo Lister and Marketworks in the past, and knowing that we needed more, I started to look around at the various products on the market and discovered eSellerPro. From the outset we worked closely with the eSellerPro development team to establish our key requirements and functional priorities and in October last year we started using the system at the core of our business. It is fair to say that we have never looked back. We now use the system for all aspects of our business. We manage all of our stocks through the system, raising purchase orders, logging receipt (using barcodes and PDAs), managing stock levels, as well as listing items for sale on various marketplaces, including our eBay shop, Amazon Market Place and own website. We have 75,000 SKUs and will be increasing to well over 300,000 with the addition of DVDs and CDs to complement our games business.  eSellerPro handles all that data, some individual SKUs having 20+ fields of data, textual, images and barcodes. All sales are fully controlled by the system from initial listing, through payment clearance, production of picking lists, printing of packing notes, sending of confirmation emails and co-ordination of dispatch. The system is integrated with Royal Mail and other courier services, making the whole process streamlined as well as cost effective. Finally, all of the associated accounts data is collected and posted automatically into Sage for us. In this respect alone we estimate that the system is already saving us £50,000 per year in Sage data entry costs. The support that we receive from the eSellerPro team is superb. They respond quickly and effectively to queries and they genuinely listen and respond to our ideas for future product enhancement. In fact if they keep adding features to the system, as they do all the time, there may come the time that I really can relax on a beach somewhere in the South Pacific and let eSellerPro run my business for me! There is so much to say about eSellerPro that there is no way we could ever explain its full impact on our operation in this short review, but undoubtedly it is the best software that I have ever found. To sum up - it is an invaluable tool for any online, e-commerce business whether you are starting on eBay, or expanding right through to thousands of SKUs, with multiple data fields.
